West Strand Indie Books was founded in 2023 as a landing place for creative fiction with a literary bent, and always at least a dash of football. Thrillers and experimental writings are created as Rebekah Johnson, and romances as Rebekah Reese.
West Strand, Dutch for "West Shore" or "West Beach," is the home of the fictional town of Sauganac, situated on Michigan's western coastline in the historically Dutch Ottawa County. The Fields family universe grew from Sauganac and spiraled outward from the original thriller, The Fields Defense, as backstories were created and new friends introduced. To date, all books under the West Strand imprint tie into the Fields family universe.
